High-Efficiency Solar Cells: The Oq Cell

Our innovative Oq solar cells are built using advanced compound technology similar to those powering space satellites, such as those used by JAXA. These cells push the boundaries of existing compound solar technology, making them significantly more efficient. After successfully completing development in March 2023, we are now in the process of producing samples for mass production.

One of the standout features of Oq solar panels is their ability to generate large amounts of electricity per unit, making them highly effective for both residential and industrial applications. They are also ideal for integration into transportation systems, including electric vehicles (EVs), drones, and ships, helping to extend driving distances and enabling EV operation without external charging.

Imagine a smartphone powered by Oq cells?this technology could eliminate the need for regular charging, similar to solar-powered calculators. In emergency situations, these cells can provide vital power to hospitals and evacuation centers, ensuring reliable electricity even in crises.

Oq cells are designed to absorb a broad range of light wavelengths, from near and far infrared to visible and ultraviolet light, making them effective in a variety of climates, including snowy regions. With an extended operational period from morning until evening, these cells work 1.5 times longer than conventional solar panels. Additionally, they are resistant to high temperatures, maintaining performance at up to 80°C, and they boast a lifespan that’s more than double that of traditional solar cells.

Due to their thin design and flexibility, Oq cells can be installed on curved surfaces such as walls, windows, and even poles, making them suitable for urban environments like apartment complexes and high-rise buildings.

Semiconductor Substrate Research and Development

We are conducting research and development of “Copper Clad Laminate (abbreviated as CCL)” for high performance and precision semiconductors.

CCL development of semiconductor substrates, which is most needed by cutting-edge technologies:
Semiconductor substrates with high reliability and thinness are indispensable for semiconductors required by devices that support high frequencies such as 5G, AI, and IoT.
Our development team has developed a CCL using high quality, thin prepreg (copper clad laminate insulation material) and copper foil of less than 3 microns thin. Furthermore, the cost can be reduced compared to existing CCLs.
